F2D New Dance Classes For 11+ A Great Success

Three styles of dance classes were launched at F2D in June!

Commercial, Jazz & Lyrical which is available to students over the age of 11 who want to try out something new or which complements their existing dance lessons.

Developed for beginners the classes are held on Mondays :

Commercial: 6.15 - 6.55 pm

Commercial dance is an energetic and versatile style of dance that blends hip-hop, jazz, and street dance. It includes sharp, bold movements, and is meant to have a sassy flare. 

This type of dance is frequently seen in music videos, live performances, and TV shows. 

Lyrical: 7.00 - 7.45 pm

Lyrical dance blends together ballet and jazz techniques, while incorporating storytelling and emotional expression.  Fluid movements that show a connection to the lyrics embodies this style, which is known for its graceful, continuous flow.

Often Lyrical dance will visually represent emotions and a song’s narrative.

Jazz: 7.30 - 08.15 pm

Jazz dance is truly dynamic as a technique which is very  expressive incorporating many global dance traditions;…everything from ballet, modern dance and hip hop can be included in the fluid, syncopated movements.

 Jazz often focuses on exuberant musical styles  and improvised movements.
