F2D Dancers Shine at Smawthorne Welfare Action Team Gala
Our F2D dancers enjoyed a successful day of community performance at the Smawthorne Welfare Action Team Gala, where local dance schools came together to entertain audiences and celebrate the strength of grassroots talent.
Community Spirit on Display
The event, organised by the Smawthorne Welfare Action Team, brought families, performers and supporters together for a day of entertainment. F2D was proud to perform for the local community and to take part alongside a number of talented dance schools from the area.
Professionalism Through Unexpected Challenges
Despite the schedule running over, the dancers remained patient, focused and supportive throughout the day. They cheered on other performers, showed strong sportsmanship and demonstrated maturity while waiting for their turn to perform.
The team also managed an unexpected technical issue with confidence when the generator ran out of fuel mid-performance. While preparations were made to restart the music, the dancers helped keep the crowd engaged with a Mexican wave before continuing the performance once everything was back on track.
F2D Flawless Team Performs Winning Routine
Following the interruption, the F2D Flawless Team went on to showcase their winning 2026 routine at the gala. The group handled the moment with composure and delivered a performance that reflected their dedication, training and team spirit.
