On Saturday 10th May, 100 Freedom 2 Dance performers will attempt to break a World Record, alongside one of the biggest names in music - Sigala.
This spectacle will take place at Boundary Park, Oldham, where F2D students will perform live alongside BRIT nominee Sigala, who has already achieved phenomenal success with 8 Top 10 UK, singles, 10 Global Gold Singles and a staggering 4.2 billion streams of her work.

The Castleford-based dance school will be included in the attempt for the most backing dancers to perform with a pop star. The F2D dancers will join forces with 2400 others from across the UK in an EPIC, once-in-a-lifetime project, organised by Pro-Excel. Together they will aim to become official World Record Holders for most dancers on stage at any one time.
Laura, F2D commented: “ We are beyond thrilled that our dancers have been chosen to take part in this unique dance experience, where they have the chance to be recognised for their dance skills on a global stage.”
Michelle of F2D commented: “Our students have already been hard at work rehearsing with our 11 years and over, having trained for 2 days from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. They were ably supported by the 12 and under group who rehearsed on a Sunday from 9 a.m until 5 p.m”
Laura concluded: “All dancers have such wonderful attitudes to this record breaking attempt and have really attacked this fabulous project with gusto. To appear on stage with Sigala, who has achieved 7 million UK Sales and 22 million Global Sales is creating such excitement around the school.”
Morley Glass and Glazing Ltd, one of the school’s key sponsors, has kindly contributed £50 for each dancer, to help fund coach hire for this event.
In addition, the F2D official fundraising team (Friends of F2D) has offered a £20 contribution per dancer in a bid to support the students travel and costume costs.
Friends of F2D, will also be continuing their efforts to raise funds for this once in a lifetime event to fund the travel for dancers to Oldham.
