Friends of Freedom 2 Dance
Supporting Young Dancers, Building a Stronger Community!
At Freedom 2 Dance, we believe that every child should have access to the joy of dance, regardless of their circumstances. In 2019, our Directors, Laura and Michelle, alongside a dedicated group of parents, founded Friends of Freedom 2 Dance—a not-for-profit organisation designed to support families and children in accessing dance opportunities.
Governed by a committee of passionate parents, Friends of Freedom 2 Dance operates independently with its own community constitution and bank account, ensuring transparency and a strong commitment to our mission.

Our Two Core Aims:
1. To foster and maintain a strong community spirit, both within the studio and beyond.
2. To raise funds that enhance young dancers’ experiences, education, and opportunities—including providing essential equipment, costumes, and resources to support Freedom 2 Dance members.
Through fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and community-driven initiatives, we are dedicated to making dance accessible and enriching for all.

What We Do
Friends of Freedom 2 Dance is a community-driven group dedicated to supporting our dancers and enhancing their experience at Freedom 2 Dance.
​
Monthly Meetings – We meet on the last Friday of every month to discuss group business, plan fundraising events, and explore new initiatives to support our dancers.
Fundraising & Events – From hosting a monthly bingo draw to organising exciting fundraising activities, we work tirelessly to provide resources, equipment, and opportunities for our young dancers.
Subsidised Events & Celebrations – We collaborate with Freedom 2 Dance Directors to help make presentation events and parties more affordable and accessible for all members.
Event Support & Child Supervision – All our volunteers are DBS-checked licensed chaperones, assisting at major events so that the teaching staff can focus on the dance while ensuring the safety and well-being of all dancers.
